BALANCE project will organize a series of training events that will help participants understand the functionalities of Union Civil Protection Mechanism and rescEU initiative and how those functionalities are linked with specifications, legislations, best practices and decision making of each country. Topics such as cross border cooperation, Host Nation Support, Standard Operating Procedures, modern technologies for disaster management, after event support of 1st responders, will be included in training events. There is planning for organizing one of the training events in Albania (Tirana) and one in Croatia (to be decided after project launch if in Zagreb or the coast line near Montenegro) to underline the need for enhanced cross border cooperation. In order not to increase travel costs, training events will be organized together –if possible- with one of the other foreseen events (i.e. planning conferences, table top exercises etc), except those to be held in Albania, Croatia that will be done separately. Still in those cases BALANCE consortium will check if transfer by bus is possible from Montenegro to Albania and Croatia to save time and have a “cluster” of events in the same time / week.
